Great
savings at the pharmacy… Providence Plan Prescription Drug Savings Plan
links with one of the largest retail pharmacy chains and many smaller independent pharmacies
into a network of more than 40,000 pharmacies nationwide. The percentage of savings
varies based on the manufacturer's wholesale price of the medication, and the
price the pharmacy may charge for the medication on any given day. (Both may change
on a daily basis.) To find out how much you will save at the pharmacy, your pharmacist
must enter the Rx processor number, as well as your name and your member ID number,
into the on-line computer system. The accurate, discounted pharmacy price is only
available when these steps have been completed. Providence
Plan's "Best Price Assurance" means that your actual cost will be the
contracted price or the pharmacy's usual and customary charge on the day the prescription
is filled, whichever is lower. Either way, you are guaranteed the lowest price
available that day.

of the welcome letter and ID card carrier sent upon confirmation of membership.

Even greater savings through the mail… The Providence
Plan offers the deeper discounts on prescription drugs purchased by mail. Mail
service is ideal for both maintenance drugs and for single-use prescriptions that
are not needed same-day. For those medications you take on a regular basis, you
can receive up to a 100-day supply, depending on the drug prescribed. Prescription
medications are usually shipped the same day as ordered when your doctor faxes
your prescription and you pay by credit card. And there are no shipping or
handling charges. You can order any prescribed medication by mail, including
controlled substances, with the exception of methadone. You
can also call for a free price quote. Simply call (800) 396-2219 toll-free
with the name and dosage of the prescribed medication. While you're on the phone,
you'll be told the lowest price available for your prescription when you order
by mail.
